The partnership is the first of its kind in the electronics and precision instruments sector, building on an existing relationship between the two organisations that began in March 2022. The partnership comprises three objectives:

Epson will contribute ¥240m ($2.15m) towards WWF forestry projects. The partnership aims to improve sustainability in Epson's supply chain as a participant in WWF's Forests Forward programme, promote the responsible use of forest resources in business, and consider future conservation of freshwater ecosystems and activities that contribute to a circular economy.
