Sublimation Ink

Sublimation ink is a specialized type of ink used in sublimation printing processes to transfer designs onto polyester or polymer-coated substrates. Unlike traditional inks that rely on pigments or dyes to color the substrate's surface, sublimation ink undergoes a chemical transformation from a solid to a gas state under heat and pressure, bonding with the substrate at a molecular level.

Sublimation ink possesses the following properties:

  • High Color Vibrancy: Sublimation ink produces vibrant and vivid colors, resulting in photographic-quality prints with excellent color rendition.
  • Quick Drying: Sublimation ink dries quickly upon printing, minimizing the risk of smudging or smearing during the transfer process.
  • Longevity: Sublimation prints are durable and resistant to fading, washing, and abrasion, making them suitable for a variety of applications.
  • Compatibility: Sublimation ink is specifically formulated for use with sublimation printers and is compatible with polyester fabrics, polyester-coated materials, ceramics, metals, and other sublimatable substrates.

Sublimation ink finds applications in various industries and products, including:

  • Apparel and textiles: Sublimation ink is commonly used to print custom designs on T-shirts, jerseys, sportswear, and other polyester garments.
  • Home decor: Sublimation printing enables the customisation of products such as mugs, coasters, mousepads, and ornaments with vibrant and durable designs.
  • Signage and displays: Sublimation ink can be used to create high-quality signage, banners, flags, and promotional displays with vivid graphics and colours.
  • Personalised gifts and accessories: Sublimation printing allows for the creation of personalised gifts, accessories, and promotional items with intricate designs and vibrant colours.
